  1. By Internet/telephone banking, BACS or CHAPS

Contact your bank with your payment reference and the following:

Address: HM Revenue & Customs, Direct, BX5 5BD
Sort Code: 08 32 10
Account Number: 12001039
Account Name: HMRC Cumbernauld
Reference: Your UTR followed by the letter “K”

  1. By Bank Giro Credit

Take your HMRC payslip to your own bank branch (other banks may refuse to accept it or may charge you for this service)

Make your cheque payable to ‘HM Revenue & Customs only’ followed by your self assessment number plus the letter “K”

  1. By telephone

You can pay by debit card over the phone. Please telephone HMRC on 0300 200 3402 and have your 10 digit self-assessment reference number ready.

  1. Billpay

You can also pay by debit or credit card* over the internet.

Go to https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/pay-online/self-assessment and follow the guidance

*Please note personal credit cards cannot be used after 13 January 2018.

  1. Directly by post

Send your pay slip and cheque made payable to HM Revenue & Customs only followed by your self assessment number plus the letter “K” either in the pre addressed envelope or to:
