Since 1982, we at Orchard Nutrition Center consider it our mission to be the Gatekeepers for our community, to be conscientious, understand labels, and scrutinize ingredients. At Orchard Nutrition we value community-based non-profit organizations. We currently work with People of Progress, a local food bank, to provide food for those in need. We also donate organic produce and scraps twice a week to Tortoise Acres Rescue & Sanctuary in Anderson.

The story of Orchard Nutrition Center began in 1982 with founder Joe Martino, and a simple desire to sell fruits, nuts and supplements locally in Redding, CA. After 39 years of building Orchard Nutrition Center into a full service organic grocery store, bakery & deli, Joe knew it was time to pass the torch. Joe stayed true to his vision of a family-owned, community-centered business by selling to Chad David & Janet McCarn, two of his long-standing employees known for their business minds & heart to serve.
Chad David, General Manager, has been an integral part of our Orchard Nutrition Center family, working his way up from cashier to General Manager, learning every facet of the store. Many of our regular customers have known him for years and his steady focus and infectious humor has led our team through good and challenging times.
Janet McCarn, HR and Administrative Director. Janet oversees Human Resources, Administration and Public Relations, advocating for a positive work environment internally while promoting Orchard Nutrition Center through media and community events.
