About CUNY Queens College
A four-year college within the City University of New York (CUNY) system, Queens College has a highly diverse student body with representatives from over 170 countries enrolled to study here. In total, around 18,500 students are based here, with the vast majority studying at undergraduate level. 78 majors are offered by the university in total, as well as master’s degrees in 24 departments and a range of doctoral degrees.
The college campus spans 80 acres, while some courses and teaching also occur at off-campus locations within New York City. The college is primarily a commuter school, with only 500 or so students actually living on campus. The primary accommodation for these students is the Summit Apartments, which were built in 2009. Before then, there were no residence halls at Queens College.
