With four months of action in the books, the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend is here!

After the league celebrated its 75th anniversary in Cleveland, Ohio in 2022, the setting shifts to Salt Lake City, Utah, which plays host to All-Star festivities for the first time in 30 years.

While much of All-Star Weekend remains the same as it has been in past years, there are some new wrinkles that add to the intrigue of the All-Star events in 2023.

When is NBA All-Star 2023?

2023 NBA All-Star festivities will take place from Friday, Feb. 18 through Sunday, Feb. 20.

The weekend gets underway on Friday with the Celebrity Game and Rising Stars Challenge, which features the top first- and second-year players in the NBA as well as a group of seven NBA G Leaguers.

Things ramp up on Saturday with NBA All-Star practice, the NBA x HBCU Classic and All-Star Saturday Night, which consists of the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Dunk Contest.

All-Star Weekend wraps on Sunday with the NBA All-Star Draft, which will take place 30 minutes prior to the 72nd NBA All-Star Game.

Where is NBA All-Star 2023?

This year's event takes place at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the Utah Jazz. This is the second time Salt Lake City has hosted the All-Star Game. When it was last there in 1993, Jazz teammates Karl Malone and John Stockton shared co-MVP honors.

How to watch the 2023 NBA All-Star Game

In the United States, the 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be broadcast on TNT and TBS, with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

At 7:30 p.m., coverage of the NBA All-Star Draft will be simulcast on TNT and TBS and at 8 p.m., TNT will air the main telecast featuring analyst Brian Anderson alongside analysts Reggie Miller, Candace Parker and sideline reporter Dennis Scott. The "Inside the All-Star Game" alternate broadcast featuring Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith and Draymond Green will air on TBS.

Who is starting in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game?

Captains: LeBron James (Team LeBron) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Team Giannis)

Per tradition, All-Star starters were voted upon by fans, current players and a media panel.

Fans account for 50 percent of All-Star starters voting while the other 50 percent was made up by the players and media panel, with each side accounting for 25 percent of the vote.

Lakers forward LeBron James was the leading vote-getter for a seventh consecutive year and will serve as a captain alongside Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, the East's leading vote-getter.

This year, the NBA All-Star Draft will take place 30 minutes prior to tip-off. Below is the pool of starters that James and Antetokounmpo will be drafting from, with James selecting first:

Who are the reserves in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game?

All-Star reserves were selected by the 30 head coaches around the NBA. Commissioner Adam Silver selects the replacement for any player unable to participate in the All-Star Game by choosing a player from the same conference as the player who is being replaced.

This year's All-Star pool consists of six first-time All-Stars, each of whom is 25 or younger.

At 21, Anthony Edwards is the youngest player in this year's All-Star Game as the former No. 1 overall pick gets the first of what should be many All-Star selections in his career. Read up on some of this year's first-time All-Stars here.

Who is coaching in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game?

Team LeBron will be led by Nuggets head coach Michael Malone while Team Giannis will be led by Celtics interim head coach Joe Mazzulla.

All-Star coaches are determined by the standings. Mazzulla's Celtics had the East's best record through games played on Sunday, Feb. 5 and Malone's Nuggets had the West's best record through games played on Sunday, Feb. 5.

This is Malone's second time as head coach in the All-Star Game; in 2019, he led Team LeBron to a victory over Team Giannis. This is Mazzulla's first time coaching in the All-Star Game.

Kia Skills Challenge participants

For the second year, the Skills Challenge will feature three teams of three players that take part in a four-round competition. The two teams with the most points through the first three rounds will advance to the finals, where a champion will be crowned.

Starry 3-Point Contest participants

The 3-point contest features eight participants from around the league, three of whom will also be playing in Sunday's All-Star Game. The 3-point contest is separated into two rounds with the three highest-scoring players from the first round advancing to the final round.

The player with the highest score in the final round will be crowned champion.

AT&T Slam Dunk participants

The slam dunk contest field is comprised of four players that will compete for two rounds. Each participant will attempt two dunks in the first round and the two players with the highest combined scores for their two dunks will advance to the final round.

Finalists will attempt two more dunks and the player with the highest combined score will be the winner.

Jordan Rising Stars Challenge

For the second year, the Rising Stars Challenge is a tournament consisting of four teams made up of seven players. Three of this year's rosters are made up of 21 first- and second-year NBA players while the fourth roster is comprised completely of NBA G League players, four from the NBA G League Ignite and three players on Two-Way contracts.

This year's teams are led by honorary head coaches: Deron Williams (Team Deron), Joakim Noah (Team Joakim), Pau Gasol (Team Pau) and Jason Terry (Team Jason). While Terry leads the G League team, Williams, Noah and Gasol selected their teams in a snake-style draft. You can find the draft results here.
